Computing Benchmarking

We use end of Key Stage Benchmarking documents to further support the teachers when making their judgements. Benchmarks have been developed to provide clarity on the national standards expected within each curriculum area at each level. Their purpose is to make clear what learners need to know and be able to do to progress through the key stages, and support consistency in teachers’ and other practitioners’ professional judgements.

We have used guidance from The Royal Society for Computing when creating our benchmark documents.
