Fundraising

What we have paid for/contributed towards

PTA events are great fun for the children and the parents of Sacred Heart and the fundraising element is obviously vital to the school. This past year we have contributed to new school books, music lessons, school trips, Year 6 leaving party, redecoration of the school hall to name but a few.

Current Fundraising Goals

The PTA organises an enormous number of activities and events that we hope you have been able to enjoy with your family and friends.  Whether it was the family welcome BBQ in September, the World Cup match, the children’s favourite school disco, Mayfair and Feast Day, the ever popular (and highly competitive) Quiz Night or our new and highly entertaining Lashes and Tashes night.

Or perhaps you saw us at the Henley Christmas Market and bought a raffle ticket or bought the children’s tea towels as Christmas Presents.  Hopefully, you got the chance to enjoy a glass of mulled wine at the Christmas productions, courtesy of the PTA.

If you were part of the incredible Sacred Heart 10k and Half Marathon team we hope that, once the pain subsided, you enjoyed the incredible community spirit and support that you all generated. Hopefully you will join us again next year! For those that didn’t run but supported us with sponsorship, cheers and jelly babies along the route….you have no idea how much we loved you at that moment!

The TLC days are often ones where we get the most satisfaction working together sprucing up the school and catching up with each other. It’s amazing what a dedicated team can achieve in one afternoon!

And nothing quite compares to the appreciation of the children when parents offer their help with reading in class, helping out on school trips or doing the crazy swimming costume/school uniform change in under 30 seconds!!

Looking forward, we will be launching a big fundraising effort for the further development of the KS1 and KS2 outdoor areas. While this is going on, we will continue to pay for music lessons, school visits, parties and additional class resources.
